Youth Science Canada plays a crucial role in nurturing scientific interest among our youth. The organization is comprised of thousands of volunteer educators, scientists, parents, and engineers who all strive to broaden youth access to science. During March and April, young people across the country compete against other youth at local science fairs. The top students at these regional competitions move on to the national competition, the Canada-Wide Science Fair, which takes place during May in Regina, Saskatchewan this year. At this fair, nearly $1 million in scholarships and prizes will be distributed.
