Youth Science Canada plays a crucial role in nurturing scientific interest among our youth. The organization is comprised of thousands of volunteer educators, scientists, parents, and engineers who all strive to broaden youth access to science. Each March, Youth Science Canada issues a newsletter package that celebrates passionate, young Canadian innovators, entrepreneurs, scientists, and researchers who have been working on projects that solve issues on a global scale. See the annual newsletter here. During March and April, these young people compete against other youth in their communities. The top students at these regional competitions move on to the national competition, the Canada-wide Science Festival, which takes place in May in Montreal, QC this year. At this fair, nearly $1 million in scholarships and prizes will be distributed.
