Applying to university?  The OUAC expects the majority of secondary school applicants to apply online to Ontario universities. University bound students are encouraged to submit their online application as soon as possible. Applications should be made well in advance of the deadline: January 13, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. EST.  There are two types of OUAC applications: (1) 105D application and (2) 101 application.

105D Applications

Students will complete the 105D application if all of the following requirements are met:

    1. You currently reside in Canada (Canadian citizen, permanent resident or currently studying in Canada on a study permit or other visa) OR you are a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident currently living outside Canada,
    2. You are not currently attending an Ontario Secondary School during the day (VHS is an OSS).

Thus, if you are a 105D applicant, then you will need to go to the OUAC and fill in their application in order to create your OUAC account:  www.ouac.on.ca/ouac-105/. Do not complete the 105D application if you are applying to the one-year consecutive BEd Program or Common Law Program.

101 Applications:

Students will complete the 101 application if all of the following requirements are met:

    1. You are attending an Ontario secondary school during the day (including students returning for second semester and graduated students returning to upgrade one or more courses),
    2. You have never been out of secondary school for more than seven consecutive months,
    3. You will receive or expect to receive your Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with six 4 U/M courses at the end of the current school year,
    4. You have never attended a college, a university, nor a career college, and
    5. You are applying to the first year of an undergraduate degree or diploma program at an Ontario university.
