The John Smallwood Bursary is Now Available Every Month

Virtual High School is excited to announce that we now offer the John Smallwood Bursary monthly! Our mission as a school is to empower students, and a key part of this mission is ensuring that our courses are accessible to Canadian students from a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds.
The John Smallwood Bursary was designed to encourage motivated, Canadian students to take courses with VHS wherever they are located, regardless of their financial background. Beyond simply helping a student with tuition fees, VHS hopes to further assist any Canadian student with their future education goals, whether that be internationally or within Canada.
The John Smallwood Bursary is now awarded monthly, twelve times per year. The value of the bursary is one full credit course (up to $579 CAD). All prospective and current students are eligible to apply, and recipients will be chosen based primarily on the extent of their financial need. Applications are due by the 15th of each month, and applicants will be notified about the status of the bursary via email. The applications for the next John Smallwood Bursary are due March 15, 2021.
To be eligible, students must submit the completed application, which includes a short written piece on their personal and academic goals after earning their diploma. Students must be in good academic standing and able to demonstrate financial need with supporting documentation.
