Virtual High School is pleased to announce the launch of its revised version of World History to the End of the Fifteenth Century, CHW3M.
This engaging and exciting world history course takes students on a journey from prehistory to 1500 CE. The course begins by discussing the study of history and by looking at some of the essential tools and concepts that relate to the study of history. From there, students examine the civilizations of ancient Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, Rome, and the Middle Ages. Finally, students will explore medieval society and the politics of the European Renaissance. These time periods allow students to investigate the birth, development, and decline of these great societies. In addition, students will develop an understanding of how the legacy of these civilizations continues to shape everyone’s life today. Read the full course outline here.
This course is an excellent step in transitioning from secondary to post-secondary education as it prepares students, not only for studying history, but also for any studies or careers in social studies or the humanities.
