Julie O’Rourke Memorial Scholarship Application Form
In recognition of a beloved former VHS staff member and incredible artist, the Julie O’Rourke Memorial Scholarship was created to offset expenses for students pursuing post-secondary studies in fine arts or design programs.
Eligibility Criteria and Scholarship Details
- Students must provide proof that they have been accepted, or conditionally accepted, to a program in fine arts or design at the post-secondary level.
- This scholarship is restricted to current VHS students or those who have successfully completed a VHS course within the past 3 years.
- A portfolio of artwork in any medium must be provided as part of the application process.
- The scholarship is for $1,000 CAD.
- One recipient will be chosen each year.
Application Process
Applications are due on or before August 1st each year. Once the recipient has been selected, all applicants will be contacted on or before August 31st.
After submitting your completed application form, you will be prompted to upload your supporting documentation. Please be sure to include the following:
- Copy of acceptance letter to a post-secondary fine arts or design program
- Portfolio
